Eternity

“Time can heal the broken heart, but it can also hurt the waiting heart.”

Darius rested underneath a weeping willow. His disheartening journey has lasted longer than time.

Five thousand years ago, he adored the woman he protected; the Pharaoh’s young bride. It started innocently, exchanging forbidden smiles and glances.

Until, one day Aziza lost her balance and fell into his granite arms.

A week later they feasted on grapes; as they made love on the banks of the Nile beneath the radiant moonlight.

News of their secret romance reached the Pharaoh.

Pharaoh ordered his magician, “Poison my disloyal wife. Reward her with the gift of eternal reincarnation.”

Beaten within moments of death, Darius pleaded with the Pharaoh. “I prefer to die a thousand deaths than to live a day without my beloved Aziza.”

“Let Darius live forever. He can suffer through eternity watching her die ten thousand deaths.”

Through the centuries, Darius walked the Earth alone. He found her soul in women of different colors and lands. He buried her a thousand times.

Since Columbus discovered the New World he has yet to see her.

He may never find her again.

Time can heal the broken heart, but it can also hurt the waiting heart.

I posted “The Pharaoh’s Bride” back in June 2016.

During my absence from blogging, I fleshed out this short story. Working in small blocks of time, I researched the ancient Egyptians and reincarnation.

In my manuscript, Darius, the immortal, attempts to help Angelo (a grumpy war veteran dying of cancer) find his long lost love, while sharing his tale of undying love.

Currently, I am ten chapters deep into the story.

Hot tears blended with the crimson blood upon Darius’ face.

This is a mansuscript I have outlined and is currently waiting to be written. It is the story of Darius and his eternal search for his beloved.

Forever Love

Cold shivers accompanied me in my cruel dark loneliness.

For so long I have loved her from afar.

Angelica returns with white rose in hand, sad eyes seeking solace. She needs love, yet, she never notices me.

Unrequited love is killing me.

If only the breeze could carry my whispers as it whips through her long brown hair.

Baby, I love you forever.

A lifeless existence, to love without feeling loved.

Angelica needs me to return happiness to her life.

Perhaps…

As she sighs, I feel the hollow ache in her breast as she rests the rose upon my grave.

After reading many 100 word stories here in WordPress, I decide to take a shot at it myself.

Lonely Author Talks Soul To Sole

I have dated or had relationships with woman of all shapes, sizes, and colors. I have loved them young, old, thin, and chunky.

For me the important thing is the connection. A sense of humor. Great conversation. Heart pounding sex. And pretty feet.

I would like to thank missameliaandsir. She posted a small story about feet for me to enjoy. Some of the subject matter on her blog is adult content (so if that is not your thing, don’t visit). Here is the link to the cute tale I mentioned. It is a harmless but well written read.   https://missameliaandsir.wordpress.com/2016/01/10/washing-away-the-week/

I am honored by anyone who would write anything for me. Thanks to her. I am humbled by her gesture.

This is the conversation I have had with every woman I was ready to get serious with.

Hey Beautiful, can we talk about something important to me? You’re really sweet and I really want things to go well between us. Can I ask you a question? Are you the jealous type? (I smile as she lies). I ask because I really want to love you from head to toe. (Smooth transition, huh?) I need a woman who will accept the fact that I will love her feet. (Here she looks at me with that WTF look in her eyes). I want to be sure you won’t get jealous over the attention they will receive. I NEED to be the person who takes off your shoes at the end of the day. I want to massage your feet. And kiss them too. When we watch tv, your feet will be in my lap. You will need to let me buy you plenty of shoes. I will pay for all your pedicures. Your feet need to be pampered. If you can accept that, I will be totally devoted to you and only you. As far as I am concerned you will be the only woman in the universe. And I will cherish you with a passion and dedication like you have never known.

Not bragging. If you know me, you know I am a humble chimp. To this day, every time I have had this conversation, no one has ever walked away.

Curious about Devil Girl’s reaction? We were in a restaurant. She didn’t say a word, but seconds after I spoke her foot reached across the table into my crotch.

Let’s talk soul to sole.

Tell me your thoughts.

The Executioner’s Diary

The following is the opening of my protagonist’s first entry in his diary.

Looking back at my life, it is obvious that destiny chose me, this only child of Cuban refugees, to be its guardian of justice. For every twist and turn in my life and my father’s life before me, prepared me for the role I was born to play. Chosen to be a tool of destiny, fate sculpted me through misfortune and injustice, to be its great equalizer; its merciless hammer of justice.

As hard as my father tried to guide me, he created the thing he detested most, a puppet on a string. Who could have guessed the United States government would pull the cords? If there truly is a day of judgment, I hope, my father and the good Lord analyze the rationale behind my actions. Destiny led me down this God-forsaken path. Fate made me what I am.

If they understand that, then and only then, will I be forgiven for all my sins.

Paradox

On the two year anniversary of Lisa’s disappearance, Detective Jake Cross vows to quit the force to find his missing wife. Hours later, a devastating alien invasion reduces Earth to ashes. Jake awakens in a strange hospital where a secret message on a paper cup advises him, “They are watching.” Thus begins his journey through an alien controlled Earth.

Seven billion dead, yet his heart only mourns for one. Jake joins forces with the last human colony, a somber community reeking of death. Battle weary survivors wander the underground city, their eyes devoid of hope. The humans have food, medicine, and ammunition to survive another week. Anointed the Great Liberator, our last hope, Jake is advised, “Our destiny is decided by the sacrifices that we make and the ones that we don’t.” The reluctant detective rejects his fate until he learns of his wife’s capture and impending execution.

In a deadly race against time, he leads the survivors to the alien metropolis to fight mutating aliens with futuristic weapons, unmanned flying motorcycles, hormone injected canines, and an evil as infinite as time. Mabus, the ruthless alien leader will not rest until every human has been exterminated. Jake must kill this immortal enemy to stave off his wife’s death sentence, but how can he be expected to defeat a God when thousands have already failed?

With time running out, Jake confronts the ultimate sacrifice, rescue his wife or prevent our extinction.
